| Description: | PPM Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Soft Water is now hiring qualified HVAC Service Technicians to join the PPM Team servicing Utah County.
HVAC Service Technicians determine service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
Employees must be professional in skill and appearance and able to interact and communicate well with clients in their homes and businesses.
PPM is a drug free, smoke free, alcohol free workplace.
Drug testing and background checks are required for all employees.
Illegal drug use or drug abuse is grounds for imediate dismisal.
PPM uses a lucrative commission compensation plan for its technicians.
Employees are substantially rewarded for up-sales and cross-sales while at the jobsite. |
| Duties: | The following is an outline of company policies and procedures which illustrate how to be successful as a member of the PPM team:
Communicate professionally, respectfully and articulately with customers, office staff and coworkers.
Carefully and accurately diagnose work to be performed.
Quote correct prices from the PPM flat rate book.
Be thorough and detailed in the paperwork for each service call.
On the customer invoice list all model & serial numbers, filter sizes, flat rate task numbers, etc. for each piece of equipment in the home or business.
Inform the customer of every option as well as each comfort and safety upgrade available to them. (For example: high efficiency air filter, humidifier, carbon monoxide detector, higher efficiency furnace and A/C, programmable t-stat, water softener, water heater, PRV, protection plan maintenance agreement etc.)
Follow PPM policies and procedures for dispatch, paperwork, job completion, etc.
Call in your arrival time upon arrival at each job.
Call in to report your finish time, contract number amount of payment, form of payment, and number of stickers/magnets placed before leaving jobsite.
Arrive to work on time.
Keep company vehicle well maintained and clean inside and out.
Drive cautiously, safely and with respect for other drivers.
Offer a friendly wave to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians that you encounter while driving
Only use company vehicle for company business.
Participate in all required staff meetings and trainings.
Help maintain and promote a high company moral, professional, and friendly work environment by abstaining from profanity and gossip.
Speak to management rather than coworkers regarding any job related concerns.
Communicate any safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.
Keep PPM a drug free, smoke free, and alcohol free workplace.
Adhere to instructions of supervisors and managers.
Ask for assistance from service manager when unsure about any repair or company policy.
Properly wear a clean company uniform by keeping the shirt tucked in and buttoned up.
Wear your photo ID badge at every customer home and business.
Wear shoe covers into customer homes and
businesses.
Carefully clean up before leaving jobsite.
Leave customer's homes and business cleaner than when you arrived.
Place PPM stickers and magnets at every home and business.
Maintain a well groomed, "clean cut" appearance.
Work hard, smart and efficiently.
Look for ways to improve our company and share them with a supervisor.
Treat each customer & coworker like gold.
Never under any cicumstance do we argue with or talk down to a customer.

| Qualifications: | All applicants must have experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing furnaces & air conditioners.
All employees must have all their own tools necessary to complete an HVAC diagnosis and repair.
Applicants must have current Utah Driver License and a good driving record as they will be driving company vehicle to customer's homes and businesses.
All HVAC Service Technicians are required to have the RMGA gas certification and the EPA refrigerant certification.
NATE certification is preferred at the time of hiring or required to be in process once employment begins. |
